An open air museum experience, where you can travel back in time to see what life was like in Norman times. You can dress up, wander about the chickens, see the log fires and feed the tame Fallow deer. Please note that it is steep in places, and access to the Bailey is up a 45 degree grassy slope, so wheelchairs or buggies may need to check first.

Getting there: Car – 31 miles (40 minutes) 2 miles from Junction 8 off the M11, follow the brown tourist signs to Stansted Mountfitchet village.Train – Castle is right next to Stansted Mount- fitchet station – 35 minutes.
