The Imperial War Museum at Duxford holds regular air shows with World War II aircraft. At Audley End there is a miniature railway. The very moving graves of 4000 servicemen are buried at the American Military Cemetary.

Regular air shows and famous military aircraft. Collections of tanks, military vehicles and artillery. There are great aerial displays from spitfires and other World War planes at their regular events. These are held usually in Spring, Summer and Autumn. It has three cafés on site – The Mess Restaurant, Wing Co Joes Café and Station 357.

American Military Cemetary
– 4 miles from Cambridge
The Memorial site was donated by the University of Cambridge. There are nearly 4,000 servicemen buried here and 5,127 names are recorded on the Tablets of the Missing. Most died in the Battle of the Atlantic or in the strategic air bombardment of northwest Europe.

Audley End Miniature Railway
– 16 miles from Cambridge
Steam trains and fairies and elves. You can take a walk through the woods to spot the Fairies and Elves hiding in their tree houses. It has a large picnic area with a wooden playground. Check the website for special train days. You can get snacks at the Signal Box Café.
