Jona David’s The Mechanical Chess Invention Launch Heffers 12 May

At 2 pm on Saturday 12th of May, the award-winning and inspiring story of 12-years-old child-author Jona David will be launched at Children’s at Heffers, in Cambridge. Jona serves as child-author for the Voices of Future Generations Initiative, a platform under the patronage of UNESCO with the aim of helping children to make their voices heard around the world. During the event, Jona present The Mechanical Chess Invention and he will explain how the story promotes the respect of the UN CRC and the SDGs Agenda. Furthermore, following the signing of the book copies, it will be announced a drawing competition followed by an Award Ceremony for the kids who will be attending. Our Judges, a panel of local leaders who actively promote children literacy and the respect of our planet and children’s rights, will proclaim the winners at the end of the event! The winning drawings will be published on our new blog on the VOFG website.
