There are some great playgrounds and flat, green open spaces right in the city centre. Christ’s Pieces has a nice little playground for smaller children, and tennis courts. Jesus Green is fantastic in the summer, with short grass to take picnics, tennis courts, a skate ramp and a kiosk. A little further out Lammas Land near Newnham has an outdoor pool and playground. It is also by the river and is great to wander around and see the ducks and cows. There are lots of recreation grounds all over the city for various age ranges. Cambridge City Council has a handy map of all of these, you can look at these on the external link. www.cambridge.gov.uk/map-of-parks-and-playgrounds
