The Museum of Cambridge

children in museum

This interactive museum displays the everyday life of Cambridgeshire people. Originally the ‘White Horse Inn’, it contains art, costumes, textiles and toys from 1700 onwards. There are many interesting objects that tell of the past. See the blue glass ‘Witch Balls’, which were once hung in windows for protection; saintly statues from Hobson’s Conduit; or a mangle for washing clothes.
