Anglesey Abbey Snowdrops

Anglesey Abbey Snowdrops

This has a wonderful display of snowdrops – over 300 varieties amongst the gardens. A great way to see the early signs of spring on these cold January and February days.
This year our Snowdrops season runs from Monday 23 January to Sunday 26 February 2017. We’re delighted that many people love to come and see the snowdrops, but we can get very busy at weekends and during the February school half-term holiday. If your diary is flexible you may wish to come on a weekday, or aim to arrive earlier in the morning or later in the afternoon when the gardens are quieter.

Maps detailing the best places to see Snowdrops in the gardens are available from Reception when you arrive.

Our Garden Guides run guided tours of the gardens and snowdrops at 11.30am and 1.30pm on weekdays throughout the snowdrop season.

For a more detailed introduction to snowdrops, our Garden team run daily tours of the private collection at 2pm. These tours are for a maximum of 30 people. 15 spaces can be pre-booked by calling Visitor Reception on 01223 810086,with the remainder available on the day on a first come first served basis.

If you are inspired to start your own snowdrop collection, we have over 60 varieties for sale in our Plant Centre, along with a range snowdrop merchandise from pottery to fridge magnets in our shop.
